Psychotherapy and Counselling in Edinburgh

Welcome. I am a UKCP registered Core Process Psychotherapist with an MA in Mindfulness-based psychotherapeutic practice. The following pages offer you an introduction to my practice, what you may expect from working with me and a sense of my working style, values and commitment.

The reasons for considering psychotherapy are varied. Individuals may be in crisis, not coping well, feeling isolated, lonely or depressed. They may have experienced separation, rejection or abuse. Others may wish to understand themselves better to support their well-being and gain greater satisfaction from their lives.

Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to explore these issues and work towards greater health and well-being in our lives. Having greater connection with, and insight into our experiences, our feelings, our thought patterns or defended patterns and bodily sensations can help our journey towards health and well-being.

The non-judgmental, empathetic, joint nature of our psychotherapeutic work together offers an environment of acceptance and support from which to work.

As an experienced psychotherapist I can support clients who have experienced difficulties with :

  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Relationships difficulties and separation
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Isolation and loneliness
  • Self esteem and confidence
  • Sex and sexuality
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Sexual abuse and physical abuse
  • Redundancy
  • Existential and spiritual crisis
  • Addiction.
  • Working towards greater self understanding, satisfaction and well-being.
