Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness-based psychotherapy. It includes aspects of psycho-dynamic theories, body psychotherapy, trans-personal psychotherapy, Buddhist psychology and awareness practices.
Mindfulness practices are being more commonly used to support health and well-being and the benefits of mindfulness meditation and practices are more widely recognised. My approach includes aspects of mindfulness, helping to support and develop greater awareness and understanding into personal challenges, difficulties and circumstances. As greater insight is developed we have increased opportunities to experience life with more freedom rather than living from our defended patterns and histories. It is this greater awareness and freedom that for many can lead to healing and health, a life with deeper well-being, meaning and satisfaction.
We would work together on an hourly basis, usually once a week. I am committed to working in a non judgmental, supportive, empathetic manner, sensitive to the unique circumstances and experiences of each individual. I prioritise creating safety in the working relationship, especially in understanding and supporting your individual needs. I abide by the UKCP code of conduct and the Karuna Institute code of conduct.
The length of time I work with clients varies greatly depending on the need of the client. Some individuals have a specific issue they wish to work with and this may be for just a few sessions. Others may wish to work to greater depth and therefore a more open time frame better supports their work. As the client, you are fully in control of this process.
